Well hello friends. Since we last spoke to you we have done a myriad of interesting things.
Parenting sessions for Matamata parents:
March/April 2012 saw us in New Zealand visiting family and friends and ALSO running some very worthwhile parenting sessions for the good folks in Matamata. Amy Martin coordinated the events and what a great job she did, too! The participant feed back was very encouraging. We left them with lots of helpful materials and the promise to return again in March next year for more parenting help. There may be the possibility of running parenting sessions in Ngatea or Te Aroha, Waihi and Morrinsville. In the meantime, the Baptist Church venue we ran the sessions at in Matamata are offering ongoing support sessions to those who participated in March.
E Booklet on Blending Families:
After meeting with a staff member at Railside on the Green in Matamata, I agreed to write an ebooklet on 'Successfully Blending Families'. So, I have been working on that and sent our friend Amy Martin an initial draft.
FREE E Booklet - I do have an E Booklet posted for free already on this blogsite. It is called, "Is it too Late?" - a lament I hear quite often from parents who fear they have made too many mistakes and cannot make changes to theirs and their children's behavior from this point on. I have good news for you. Things can change and it is NEVER too late. Please email me for a copy - sally@forefrontfamilies.org
Writing articles for papers and magazines:
For the last 6 years I have written a syndicated column for upwards of 15 newspapers in 5 US States. Recently, I approached the editor of a magazine in New Zealand called 'Tots to Teens' and they graciously accepted one of my stories - to be published in their next issue.
If you would like to read any of the articles I have already published, just go to our website - www.forefrontfamilies.org and go to 'Articles' on the navigation bar. There are around 300 to choose from.
We always appreciate your feedback so please blog us on this site any time.....
